i think marriage is really important if you want to be with someone for the rest of your life, being married means if you argue you are more likely to sort through your problems than just give up on the relationship if you weren't married. I think when you get married you both have an understanding of the things you expect from one another, i.e not cheating, and trust etc

I personally don't understand this. How does a piece of paper magically make two people's commitment to each other better or more valid? There are people who aren't married and don't just walk out at the start of every arguement or any conflict. There are people who are married who run at the first sign of rough waters ahead. Marriage doesn't magically manifest trust, fidelity and staying ability.

No, I don't think marriage is important at all. It's antiquated and unnecessary. You can be in love, committed and devoted without needing a piece of paper to confirm it.

I think that marriage is very important. It is a bond between two people that truly and love each other. It is an oath taken in the presence of GOD that shows that two people belong to each other entirely and that they are ment to spend their loves togeter. Today to many people are not getting the real message of marriage and they are just rusing into things. If they took teir time then the amount of divorces that we have today would not be that high.

I think it depends on the person whether or not marriage is important. Marriage is very important to me. I always wanted kids. And for me that meant being married. I think in come cases it depends on the values that have been instilled in you.
