spring festival is the important one in china.it is like the western christmas.the whole family reunion on that day.in the festival we have the sumptuous supper and we wear the new clothes.we also the special food,dumpling.it has many different stuffings.it is delicious. at night we play the fireworks,the old gives the young the red package, that represents well-wishing.the young kotow to the old.we plaster the red picture on the gate and the windows. and the festival has its legend,it is so old .it means that there is a monster which hurts the man.people fire the fireworks and plaster the red picture to drive the monster. today we know that there isn't the monster,but we keep the tradition sothat we have the spring festival. could you tell the feast in your country?

You and I come from the same country:) Nowadays it is not allowed to play firworks here. I guess you come from the North China because we have some difference. We don't eat dumplings in the Chinese New Year Eve. We tend to eat a feast with fish, chicken etc. As to kotow, it won't happen here. Perhaps you miss something. Here the Children will receive red pocket money from the parents and elders.
