How long were they together? I thought that they had been together for awhile. I think it seems worse in Hollywood because peoples lives are so closely followed. Marriage has become a short lived thing these days. My husbands grandparents will be celebrating their 60th anniversary next month. You don't see that too often. My parents are getting close to 30 years. I think sometimes celebrities just get married and divorced fast because it puts the lime light back on them for awhile. Pam anderson pretty much drops off the radar until she gets married again...or now divorced again.

Well, remember, in the past a woman couldn't really have a good job on her own. She was kind of stuck with her husband, good or bad. The situation has changed and, unless you work with your spouse, things go south and then she can get out. Personally, I believe that.. when you make a promise of marriage you should keep it. I'm afraid too many people expect marriage to be happily ever after. There are always problems that need to be worked through, I fear.

Its true that marriages are getting shorter than ever- hollywood is usually extreme cases, not all marriages are so short lived. But there are more and more divorces nowadays than ever.
