is there an immortal soul?

i read from a book that there were arguments if people have immortal soul. as for me, i believe we have. it is what my parents taught me and what my religion says. I am a christian and i believe that we have souls, that we have spirits and these souls will be judged on the second Coming of Christ. is there any possibility that we dont have any immortal sould and that we just vanished like soapbubbles if we die?

yeah, we do have souls. my religion differs to some extent to your religion. as per my religion souls are judged along with the bodies on the Judgement Day after the world is destructed. Our bodies are not going to leave us. We do carry them even if we go to hell, very tough bodies, though.

i guess we have some differences in our beliefs.. but it's ok. we can never say which is more right. im just curious what is ur religion..
