Boy, I thought this was going to be an easy topic to reply to until I read NO MICROWAVE! We'll have to come up with a nook that can be installed in a vehicle! Sheesh! Honestly, my husband is the one to ask for good ideas like that however what I do at dinner time is always make extra for lunches. For example, tonight we're having a roast beef. Before eating, I'll cut it in three sections. One for dinner, one to make beef barley soup and the other Beef Pot Pie. The beef pot pie will be made in individual servings to freeze, thaw, warm and eat for lunches. Now if I can only come up with meals that you don't have to warm up, we'd be all set! Someone else mentioned salad, and there are tons of opportunities there. Check out www.KraftCanada.com for other ideas. (recipes, browse by categories, lunch)

Beef Pot Pie: hmmm how to explain LOL The way I make it, I have roast beef all chopped up, I add carrots, potatoes, peas, mix with gravy and put into a pie shell. But it's going to have to be warmed up! I just thought of the bbq pork pie I make, and that doesn't need warming. Next time you make a pork roast, chop up about a cup of it and add your favorite bbq sauce. Put a layer of that in a pie shell, then add a layer of corn, then hashbrowns and last but not least, yummy cheese!! Cook for about (gosh I can't remember) 30-40 minutes(??) - until done :) it's good hot or cold! I always have to make more than one because the kids go wild on this one!

oh boy let me correct that the beef pot pie needs a top crust, pork one doesn't! :)

Invest in a thermos, you can then cook soup in the morning. Also it could be filled with burritos, spaghetti, mashed potatoes. The possibilities are endless. I do this with my husband, many times he eats last nights leftovers. Best of luck

Hello mag, I also stay home while my husband works and I too, make his lunches. He often isn't near a microwave either. Here are a few ideas for you: 1. cold/leftover chicken w/potatoe or macaroni salad 2. soup or chilie put in a thermos to keep it hot 3. leftover meatloaf also w/potatoe or macaroni salad or something of that nature 4. cold pasta salad 5. pita sandwitches 6. leftover pizza With a little imagination, there is all sorts of things you can do with leftovers as long as they can be enjoyed cold.

You can make Chicken Turkey lasagna, or something you don't really need to put in a microwave, try Italians recipe and south America food.
