I want to lose 30 pounds so badly that I am considering only eating soup and salad. I would do this as long as I have to. Of course, I would excercise some too. What do you guys think about this? Do you think it would work?

Good luck! I hope you reach your goal. I think almost any diet will work if you work it. I would just have 2 concerns: 1) is the diet healthy, 2) what will happen when I go back to eating "normally?" I have read that when a person uses drastic measures to lose weight, she runs the risk of gaining back the lost weight plus some. Do you have an event coming up that makes you want to lose the weight so badly? If not, maybe you could take a less drastic approach and follow a diet that helps you change your ways of eating and your ways of thinking about food so that you know you will be capable of keeping the weight off once you reach your goal. Good luck!

The thing is not to go back to eating what is considered normally to me right now. I need to shrink my stomach again so that I won't be eating as much as I do now. And I will eat salads with grilled chicken on them.

You could try the cabbage soup diet. Certain days you can eat other things as well as the soup so it's not so bad LOL I haven't tried it before because I am not sure I could stick to that diet. You stay on it for 21 days and then 7 days of healthy regular food.

I don't like cabbage though. If I want to eat a sandwich of some sorts one day I will. But I want to shrink my stomach so that I cannot eat fries too.
