Sticky friend

What would you do when you have a friend who you don't really like to be close with but he always insists on being close to you, butting in conversations, etc. etc...

the best thing to do is just maintain a distance...explain to that friend you are one of those people who need space...convince them its not them, it's you

Tell that person to keep distance. That's very easy to do. You know what I mean. Just like here on mylot, there are people who don't like a certain person to respond to their discussion. What they do is just to ignore!

It might be different when you are in personal contact with the person, but I guess it's worth trying! Anyway you have nothing to lose I suppose.. Thanks for the response

This is really hard to do. My only advice is to ignore the person and don't put more attention on him. Perhaps, in that manner, you will not really get close to him. :-)
