Apparently, there is an alarming rise in homes of tea cosy related incidents, with 35 people being injured by them this year. Should these dangerous items be banned for everyone's well being? all the best urban

Maybe the tea cosys have somehow mutated and are now attacking people. Oh no, attack of the dangerous tea cosys! Look out granny! Really how ridiculous. Yeah ok, ban everything that a person could actually hurt themself with if they aren't using it properly in the first place. Good idea.... Now how about equipping everyone's home with padded walls and rounded corners as well.

It is pure madness for people to actually spend time or money on worrying about something only a handful of people were effected by.... escpecially when these handful of people were probably not using better judgement in the first place. That is really silly indeed.

Yes, that was that point I was making, we should not aim to protect people from every little possibility all the best urban

Banning is definately not the solution - educating and awareness - yes! I love your topics :)!

Dear me, Urban, the minutiae you pick up! What will it be next? Umbrellas, CD cases, door keys?

What happened? Was there a horrible murder because a killer used a tea cozy to smother his victim instead of a pillow? Or maybe he unraveled it and strangle the victim. I can see it now."constable, there is the murder weapon! The tea cozy and the bit of yarn that he used to wrap around the victim's throat!" And What did the 35 people do? Did they crochet the tea pot or knitted the wrong way and got their fingres caught? Did they make theirs too small and knocked the tea pot over breaking it on the floor while trying to get the cozie on the pot? Did they put the tea cozey on the wrong way and tried to pick the tea pot up by the sprout? Shame on them. tsk tsk tsk. You are supposed to pick the tea pot up by the HANDLE. :)

oh dear, I do hope the banning committee does not get wind of this rising tea cozy dilemma! I hit my hip on a drawer that was not fully closed this morning, and I wonder if others do the same thing... what is the incident report on this malady?

Tea cosies? Do poeple still own such things? What? Were these 35 people forced to look at them? I can imagine dying of boredom as your grandmother shows you all the new ones that she has made; but outside of that, how can you possibly get injuried by one?

Ok, I just found out, most are scalding incidents resulting from people attempting to pick up he pot by the cosy and the rest are slipping on a dropped cosy. all the best urban

Tea cosies...only in Britain. Shades of Mrs. Bucket. Its a boring night so I went in search of. I have already gone through all of RedYellow whatever Dogs stuff so it is your turn. I looked at your Sherlock Holmes one that just resurfaced after 8 months. I am usually good at that kind of thing, but either there aren't enough clues or I am not into it tonight. I really think that there aren't enough clues. You still have some more things to poke through. TaTa.
