Family dog kills 1 year old boy in England.

Archie 1 year old boy dies because of a dog carrie - This is very sad story. I would like to know how its possible according to the article this was a family dog and great with kids and the whole family. Should we never leave our dogs alone with our kids?

I can't believe I read that in my news reader. The boy was snatched from his 7 year old aunt's arm by a rottweiler. the kid was holding the baby and petting the dog. the dog took the baby and the family took the baby to the hospital and he died. the dog was shot on site for this horrible act. what do you think caused this dog to do such a evil act? here's the story. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/west_yorkshire/7163696.stm
