Do you like Kmart?

So, I was on another board where they post complaints, and many people were upset with Kmart. While I like Kmart, their stores have been all closed except two or three in my city & I don't shop there since the stores that are still opened are far from my house. Well, the people were complaining about taking a survey. I guess their survey site wasn't working. I can announce to you all,yes their survey site is working: http://www.tlgsurvey.com/se.ashx?s=3539CD03648C1B7E So, here are my questions: a) Do you like K-mart? Why or why not? b) Would you be upset, like the other consumers, about their survey site being down to be entered into their sweepstakes? c) Do you have lots of K-marts where you live? Peace and love! Pablo

a) Do you like K-mart? Why or why not?- It's alright but I find that there is a significant difference between their prices and Wal-mart prices. If I had a choice I would much rather go to Wal-mart. b) Would you be upset, like the other consumers, about their survey site being down to be entered into their sweepstakes? -Upset? No, that just seems stupid. Sure it'd be great to win a sweepstakes or somethi9ng but if it was down I'd just try another time, no big deal. Life is too short to waste time being upset and complaining. c) Do you have lots of K-marts where you live? We have two. Now before I give the distances you have to understand I live in a rural area. Schools have hour long bus routes, we don't have enough traffic for traffic lights except for right in the main towns, only 3 "state highways" criss cross across my particular area and they are all regular 2 lanes, the rest are state routes (which really are different!) and township roads...ok so the nearest K-mart is in the town we do most of our shopping in and is about 25 minutes drive from us. The second K-mart is almost an hour from here but like I said that's not exactly terribly far...it's in the same county just on the other side.

Well, I wouldn't compare them to Wal Mart. Kmart is different because they are much smaller than Walmart. The ones in my town have Little Caesar's Pizza. I love them. I would shop there more if the stores were closer. We used to have one about 10 minutes drive but they closed many stores & now we would have to drive about 35 minutes. There are many stores that are closer such as the grocery store, target, walmart, and other places. Thanks for your comments. Pablo

We only have one Walmart Supercenter and that is just over an hour away. The other two Wal-mart stores in the area are just the regular ones so they are the same as a K-mart. There just isn't one in the closest town that we usually go to, they're both about 40-45 minutes away in different directions.

Wow, yea, we don't like going places where we have to drive forever. It doesn't make sense, right? :) I prefer closer stores even if I have to pay a little more money. Pablo

What people don't likeis exactly why they are going out of business. But they are like any corporation and there will be some people left behind when the doors close. It will take just a little corporate responsibility for those people to be retrained for better jobs.

I don't think they are going out of business, but they had to shut down many stores because their business was low. However they have stores all throughout the world in UK, USA, and Australia (maybe more countries?) Pablo
