Okay, so I'm just a smalltown solitary teen and I've been searching high and low online and offline, and I just can't seem to find any pagan/witchy things in this small city of mine! I never really got into it before 'cause there was so much else going on in my life, but now that I have some time and the time feels right...I'm drawing blanks. Well, okay, so that's not exactly true. Not blanks exactly, its just stuff is either too far away or else I'm not sure I'll be able to pay for it or if it sounds like something I'd do. I'm in Northern Ohio...anything close to Norwalk would do..I've looked at meetup.com, myspace, yahoo, msn, google groups, witchvox...other networking sites, but I can't seem to find anything. Have you ever wanted to go to an event, workshop..anything involving your faith but had difficulty or couldn't do it? For milage reasons, money reasons, or whatever? Do any of you have any idea on how I'd somehow find something local or start it? (I'm not interested instarting a coven or anything, mind, just something to mingle in the offline world with real wiccan, pagan, witchy or other similiar pathed people my own age). Meetup woulda been the easiest and quickest way, but it costs money I don't have at the moment (I'm between jobs). Any experiences in such things? Any of your stories would be nice to get my mind off my own furstrations guys. Thanks beforehand, I really appreciate any responses I get.

I too live in a pretty small area which means finding things is rather difficult, especially if I want to speak to other like minded individuals. Just recently, I discovered a pagan-y shop not too far from where I live, so I sometimes make a point to stop by and see what they have. A local group was started about a half hour from where I live, but I'm not quite sure about their tradition, nor would I really have the time to attend the circle events. I think your best bet, at least at this time, is to find really great, online pagan centered message boards to post on. Online communities really give you a great feeling of connectedness even if you don't have anyone around you to work with. Not to mention, it's free. Mysticwicks.com is a great place to go.

On Witchvox I found a store called Jupiter's Door - (419) 663-5404, 330 E. Water St., Norwalk Ohio. It says they offer workshops and classes... it doesn't say for what specifically, so it might not be something you're interested in, but they might have a community bulletin board with pagan-oriented notices and business cards and things, or the owner might be able to point you to what you're looking for. There's a UU church in Sandusky, they sometimes have pagans in the congregation. I'm having trouble with the SCA site, but they also tend to have a pagan presence.
