im an avid coke drinker to say the least.. its rare i drink anything else.. when i do its normally a fruitopia which is actually owned by coca cola.. not why i drink it, just a fact.. anyways i dont drink coke out of a bottle.. or any other pop but its rare i drink other pop.. so ya i drink out of a can everytime.. i like it ice cold with condensation on the can to assure me its cold enough to drink.. just curious what everyone else prefers.. also i think glass bottled coke is much better than plastic bottled.. glass bottled coke tastes nearly as good as canned.. plastic pop just doesnt taste proper to me *shrug* lemme know your preference

I prefer it out of cans, but really it doesn't matter to me. I'm drinking coke from a plastic bottle right now.

Okay okay! I'll admit, in can it is more acidic, probably due to more preservation methods or something. In bottle, its actually a softer taste. Hmm... experiment time. BRB(be right back) ... ... ... Confirmed. In bottle its slightly softer. In can a bit more acidic/metallic(might be due to the can/acid itself or another item).

most people ive talked to in person (at work or with friends etc) dont really seem to care either way also but cant you taste the difference? coke in a bottle doesnt have the same acidy burning fizzy stuff and i dont find it as refreshing as a can by far :D

So far, I haven't found or read any negative effect on drinking sodas (especially coke) from a can and glass of bottle; but if I were to choose, I'd drink from a glass of bottle because I'm positive the compounds from the glass are very solid and couldn't be broken down into tiny particles that would mix in the soda. As for drinking sodas from a can, I admit I have doubts about it, since coke is very acidic, there is a tendency that it will interact with the tiny substance found in the can. I'm not yet very sure though; it's just a hypothesis. As for drinking sodas from a plastic bottle, it's really a big NO NO, especially when the plastic bottle has been exposed to the heat of the sun several times already, it will break down carcinogenic particles from the plastic that will mix in the liquid. GOd bless!

ive heard the statements about plastic bottles having cancerous agents when exposed to certain enviroments also and as far as canned soda goes.. in the making of the can it is coated on the inside to protect against the acids which soda's use and make, in darker cola's especially.. so assuming the can isnt dented or damaged its as safe as eating food out of cans.. one of the best ways to seal our foods and drink.. expense is the only down fall to it which is how plastic got so popular for packaging..

Perfect! Very well said! Yeah, pricing is a big factor that attracts buyers. But would you consider product prices over health, or the other way around?

if i owned a company i guess id choose the health of people over the profits i make.. but coke not being owned by a sole individual doesnt get that say.. a bunch of share holders and board members decide.. and they rarely consider anything but the bottom line :)

I could care less if the pop is in a bottle or can. . I think it all tastes the same to me. I have however told some other people in another discussion about your crazy pop drinking obsessions. I also like my pepsi better then your coke :P Even though i rarely drink pop. . i perfer milk, and in the carton, but its cheaper in the bags!

well so far it seems those who care like can but i guess only some care either way.. i still think can is better! :D and its not an obsession its convenience.. no dishes always cold comes in cases for easy storage and if you live in places that have recycling depots you can save 'em for cash back! :D

I almost always drink soda out of a can. Sometimes I will get a bottle of soda, but it does not taste the same to me. I only buy cans of soda for at home. It has been a long time since I have had soda in a glass bottle. I don't really remember the taste.

i totally agree bottled pop tastes weird.. off a bit.. almost flat i guess but with fizz still! hehe glass bottle is very nice though ive only ever had coke and 7 up from glass.. if you ever go to PEI, Canada all their drinks are in glass cuz they dont allow plastic bottles.. odd law but one none the less :D

Wow! this is freaky weird! I'm not stalking you or anything, your discussions just keep showing up under new discussions, which is what I'm searching under right now. Anyway, I prefer to drink soda out of a can too. I also prefer coke over other sodas. I and I too, prefer a glass bottle over a plastic one. I don't soda in plastic bottles, it taste a little weird that way.... See why I said this was freaky weird? lol

I personally like to drink from the can, seems like it gets colder than the bottles do plus the cans are usually on sale. I try to purchase soda only when it is on sale so I get it for a better deal.

If I am in a mall, I choose a Coke in A Can rather than in a bottle. Coke in a Can is easy to handle and not dangerous when you accidentally dropped it to the floor rather than a bottle softdrinks.
