What was the music that suited you best, that felt closest to your heart and touched the most sensitive chord in your soul?

i personally like all kinds of music. I am a new fan of Hermans Hermits from england. I was fortunate enough to see a couple of his concerts (peter noone). I am amazed at how much fun and how happy his music can make you feel. No swearing, no violence.. just fun. like it should be. So i guess the 60's 70's music is of a lighter heart, and fun to sing with.

When I first began exploring fusion rock and alternative rock, back in the 70's--like Pink Floyd, I found more ethereal instrumental with just a few lyrics more impressive than just loud instruments, in sync or not.
A true artiste feels the music, lives the harmony, and revels in the inclusion of such universal themes . . .
