I just made over $200 on eBay. It was kind of unexpected. I had an auction up that I had put up a few times before, but nothing happened. I put it this time because had an 10 cent insertion fee special. It's a commission auction I put up from time to time and sometimes I get a bite and sometimes not. Like i said the last few times was no bite. Well, this time a guy contacted me about the auction and said he might be interested. I answered some question and didn't think anymore of it. When I went to check my Paypal for something I found the guy had paid for the auction. I had accidentally made the auction a buy it now. I was glad because I needed that money now.

Do you sell your art digitally? I do sometimes draw, but it's not really good, as I'm an amateur. I was hoping that if let's say I do get my digital camera, and I could sell the pictures I take digitally. You think that people would buy them?

I sell original pieces and prints of my art. If you look in my profile under "Important Links" under "Artist Sell Prints" you find a link for Finerworks which is where I get my prints done. I sell them for like 30% to 40% above my price and pay Finerworks when I get paid. I then have Finerworks make and ship the print to the customer.

I've sold a couple of things over the years. My father-in-law is an auctioneer and is making a killing selling things he finds for small $$ at auctions.

That's great about your father-in-law. That's the way to make money on eBay.

What was this item you were selling? I have really tried making money from ebay , not sure what exactly to sell. I have items around the house but they aren't worth anything. I might get involved in selling things but i would think it would be very hard.

I sell my art on eBay. You would be surprise at what you could make selling things on eBay that you think aren't worth anything. It is surprising what people will buy and how much they would pay for stuff on eBay. And it's not hard at all to get started.

We made money on Ebay for awhile selling second hand brand name clothes. We would buy them for a dollar each and then sell them for 5 plus dollars. It wasn't much, but it was a lot when you added it up and every now and then we would have an auction that made a lot of money. There was one pair of Tommy Hilfiger Khakis that sold for $38. Anyway. For us it was a fair amount of work. Then we moved and didn't have a place to buy clothes for a dollar each. On top of that the market is much more flooded then when we began. It got harder and harder to make money with it. I have since them moved on to other online money making opportunities.

The thing about eBay is you have to find something that people are interested in but very few people are selling.

It is hard to sell sometimes with so many people using eBay. You have to use good keywords and try selling stuff that not to many people are selling.
