Is a good name and reputation better than ill-gotten riches? I see men driving posh cars and a lot of ill-gotten wealth, they seem not to care, they have all the good things anyway, would you rather be poor but with a good name?

Hello dear academic friend. We have a saying here in China, 'You can be poor, but your personality cannot be poor.' Therefore I would rather be poor with a good reputation among people, as this is the initial requirement in morality. We need to live a decent life mentally while we are striving hard for a better material life. Thanks for your discussion, my dear friend.

yup, im rather to be poor & have a good reputation than rich, if your rich everything is with you but your mirror is already black, how you can face those people that have black heart they think they are the king & whole run the world of poor & innocent people.
