Thrash man!

How long would you keep your trash in the house before throwing them away. In my case, that would be less than 24 hours since I would not be able to stand the sight and smell for more than that.
However, there is a 35-year-old man in Berkeley, California who keeps his trash for the whole year. He keeps it for the sake wanting to see how much garbage can a person generates in a year and nothing else.
"The refuse -- including every tissue, receipt, food wrapper and plastic bottle -- lies in bins in the kitchen and living room of Derfel's apartment. He composts his food scraps."
What do you think of him? Would you stay in the same house with this guy?

I thought composts smelled to high heaven! Maybe he got used to the smells, but you'd think it would seep out and the neighbors would complain.

That is vile and disgusting! If he wanted to keep track he could just write it down! JEEEZ! I keep mine in the house untill the bag is full, but i have it the furnace room just off the kitchen so that i dont have to smell or look at it. I hate the smell of garbage, how does that guy life with the smell, and what about the maggots that would form on the food containers and things. omg. He should be evicted from his apartment for the sake of his neighbours!

thats absurd man.... that man seems out of his sorts... i wud never do that.... although it may be interesting for him.... should not critisise him much

My Husband take the trash out everyday. I think everyone should take their trash out everyday!
