I have not bought much from ebay lately the prices and the price of shipping and handling had just go to high I can buy most stuff cheaper in the local stores it used to be the other way around but after ebay raised its sellers fees sellers rasied their prices and their shipping charges to cover the expense.

I agree, some sellers gouge on shipping. I never buy from anyone who overcharges for shipping. When I sell, I always charge exactly what it costs to ship the item, perhaps a dollar extra if it requires special handling. It's not fair to expect my customers to pay my ebay fees!

Ebay is great!! I second that.. You do get the things you want, usually when you pay with paypal, there is also insurance. And you can always comment and give feedback about sellers, so you might be aware with the sellers. I also keep my favorite sellers and also keep to having a budget, i love going to the 1 cent stores.. :)) Sure you pay for the shipping, but buying it is so cheap!! :)) lol

I love shopping on ebay. You can find just about anything you want. My granddaughter loves to shop for clothes, and I have bought other items, video games and such, for gifts. I have never been disappointed with anything I have bought. Of course, you have to be careful and check the sellers' feedback and reputation first. I never buy from any seller who states in their listing that if you don't pay on time they will give you negative feedback. That sounds like trouble, being threatened with a neg before you ever do business with them! You can get a sense of the sellers' attitude from the way their listing is written, that is usually what keeps me from buying from a particular seller.

I doing most of my Christmas shopping in Ebay! I am very selective on what I buy too! I had only ever been burnt once, so I guess I am pretty lucky about that!! I also buy my outfits for my husbands work party through Ebay which are far cheaper then what you and buy in the stores and it save me money even with the postage handling and insurance !!

Hi tracyleeappel, I have to agree with you on this one, regardless of the bad experiences that many people have had. To me it has worked as basically my main source of income since I left my job this past July. I'm from Mexico, so what I do is buy different kind of articles that I consider to be worth of selling in my country, as well as cheaper, like videogames, toys, etc. I also buy from some other online sources when prices at eBay are a little higher at that moment. Sure, many things can be said, but we can't deny it has worked for many many people around the world. You have a great day !!

I have bought a lot of things there in EBAY and it's awesome. Just be cautious in dealing with people. For me, I make sure they are reliable and not a scam by looking at their ratings and feedbacks. The latest I've bought from Ebay was the HEllo kitty usb I gave as a gift for my youngest sister.

Well, you are only talking about half the story of ebay here... Sure, you can find many things and many are at affordable prices. However, there are also chances the things you buy are not what you expect them to be....The quality isn't there or you feel its not what the seller described as it is... I don't trust ebay as much as purchasing from other online stores....

I've had 15 successful transactions on Ebay. I usually buy banknotes for my collection on Ebay. It's definitely an easier way to shop and look for collectibles. It saved me a lot of trouble by staying at home instead of lurking on flea markets and antique stores plus you could easily compare prices.
