why is my son so moody/touchy?

My son is 15 years old almost 16, and he is so moody and very touchy! It is like walking on eggshells around him. Does anyone have this problem with their teenage son or any male out their going through or have gone through this sort of thing? I think it is a phase and something to do with his hormones. But can someone please enlighten me to this thing that he is going through? Thands!!!!

I think one reason is that he is fighting for his age. Being in adolescent stage is hard. You want acceptance from people, you want freedom from your parents because you are not a child anymore. You have identity crisis. Just understand your child and support him and let him feel that you are there for him.
