Respect ure parents/ Grand parents

Hello dear glitzypurple. I think that it is because kids are not so aware of what they are doing and it seems to be normal for most kids. I have to say that when I was a kid, I was a little bit naughty though most time I was an obedient kid. But I have been very nice and kind to my parents ever since I was an adult because I know more about how to respect my parents and the aged. karma is very true,or so i think it is...but looking back on my own experiences,i can say that karma has done much of the hurting in me.isn't it that there's a saying that when a father is a womanizer,his children pays for his wrongdoings...it happen to occur to us...so it may also mean that what we do to our parents,will happen to us if we have our own family.so,don't disrespect the elders if we want to earn respect as future parents!

Well I have no respect for my parents and I have my own kids but they give me the utmost respect...Not all parents, relatives, caregivers etc DESERVE respect which is IMO the key...

I think it might affect some people. If you see you parents not caring about there, there's more chance that you will also not care for yours... Or it might be the other way round, if you see your parents disrespect their parents you might feel it's very wrong and try not to be like your own parents

It is very bad not to treat parents and grand parents with respect.Parents will suffer a lot to grow up their children and see them in a good position.So any body should treat their parents with atmost respect.Luckly my children will treat me with much respect.

Well this should not be limited to just parents and grand parents but we should respect all those that are elder than us not just because one day our own children will be disrespecting us , but because of the fact that in life you get respect by giving it to others.Not only to the elders but everybody else regardless of the fact that the person in front of you is younger or elder than you.

I'm not too sure about this one, we don't have very much disrespect in our family! I just know that my kids respect me, just like I respected my parents! There's not very much disrespect around here, you'll get your head bopped if you do!

The one has nothing to do with the other, unless it's the way you raised your kids. Kids treat their parents the way they let them. If you were disrespectful to your parents it's because they let you be. If your children treat you with disrespect it will be because you let them. Children learn by the behavour their parents show them and let them do. If a child can get away with it they will continue to do so.

yeah i believe in karma... i respect my mother and family... i respect others too, so that they respect me and my family too. we must respect each other, no man is an island...
