Gunman kills U.S. diplomat

A U.S. Diplomat and his driver were killed when a gunman as he was heading home from a New Year's party. "An American diplomat working toward restoring peace in war-torn Sudan was shot and killed along with his driver early Tuesday as he headed home from a New Year's party in the Sudanese capital, his family said." However, it is not known whether it was targeted attack or an isolated incident. the Sudanese government downplayed the incident by saying the pre-dawn shooting was the result of a "street argument." This just proves that the world is getting more and more unsafe for people to live in. Any thought?
