It appears that I won't be on here as much as I would like to be these next few days possibly a week. My pinched nerve is acting up and apparently my back is out. I can't stand up straight and every time I walk it kills me!!!!! So, if you don't see me around thats why. Talk to you later!

No abbey, it surely doesn't. If I turn the wrong way, sleep the wrong way, just agitate that nerve and it will come back. I have been fortunate to have caught it in time in the past and just took ibuprofen and laid down for a while and it helped, but this time, I didn't. I am doign better though! Thanks!

Thanks abbey! I really appreciate it. It does help to know that I have such great friends who are thinking of me during this time. Take care and I am trying to get on here every once in awhile when I don't feel the pain so much. Take care!

You have my deepest sympathy. Those pinched nerves are horrible. Terrible pain.
I had a similiar problem in August. My femoral nerve was pinched which runs down the front of the leg from the hip. Three epidurals later and pressure point injections, I got some relief. Still have to be careful how I turn or twist.
Really feel for you. Hopefully you will get some relief from laying down.
Feel better,

Well, I certainly know what your feeling! Mine is going down the back of my leg! They gave me hydrocodone for pain and prednisone steroid pack for inflammation. The ibuprofens weren't doing anything. I know the feeling about having to be careful how you turn or twist. This happened in my sleep can you beleive it!

He gave me hydrocodone and put me on a prednisone to lower the inflamation. I have been diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease so I need to be more careful. Take care and thanks for the information!

Thanks max! I am really glad you told me that. That could explain why I have mysteriously come down with a UTI. Going to the doctor to get antibiotics and stopping the prednisone. Will just take ibuprofen. The pain seems to have abated and I am more mobile since yesterday!

I am sorry to hear about that. Are you taking any medication for it and have you seen a doctor? I think a chiropractor might a good idea. They can fix your back and un pinch your nerve. Also having a massage might do you good. Also you can try to move in a different direction. I have had a pinched side, and what I did was try to reverse the action and also massaged my side and it helped.

They put me on anti-inflammatory meds and pain killers, which I really don't want to take because they make me feel fuzzy headed. If I keep having this problem they are going to send me to a chiropractor. I have to go this route because I am on new insurance and my doctor has to go through the motions and then he can give me a referral. He said if I have no improvement in two weeks that I can call him and he can then give me a referral. We shall see! Thanks for the information!

Ouch! I know how you feel somewhat. I have DDD. That's dengerative disc disease. If I sit too long in the same position my whole lower body feels like it is asleep with the tingling effect etc. Get some bed rest and avoid using your back too much if possible. Take care friend,
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

They diagnosed me with DDD yesterday. Your right about that tingling feeling in the lower back and the numbness. I am getting it going down my left leg, apparently I pinched one of my nerves when I must have turned in my sleep or something. I haven't done anything to bring this on. Who knows! It's a mystery really. Thanks for your support!

Thanks! I hope to be back here soon. However when my husband comes home for leave I won't be on here that often. Thanks for the prayers!
