Recently a few days before Christmas we've taken over a dog from a woman who not longer wanted her dog.She told my mom that her children were allergic to the dog (after 2 years) and that they are very rude to the dog.Now we've heard she asked lots of people if they wanted to take over her dog.The dog was in bad shape but she's so sweet so we took her and she looks way better now.She really looks happy and the sweet part is that every morning she comes jumping to me and my family just to get some attention too.
But what i don't understand is why she takes another dog.She already chose the dog when she still was with her.
That's why i ask why taking a dog if you;re not gonna keep her?

I agree with you. My dog is an equal member of the family. I couldnt possibly even imagine giving her away. I dont understand how people dont feel that a dog has feelings too. Imagine that poor dog every time those people were mean or rude to it. She was probably scared and alone. I see people talk terribly about their pets. Even though the dog doesnt fully understand whats being said. They can detect tone in peoples voices. My dog knows if I am upset. I feel so guilty if I know my dog is alone. THose people shouldnt have had a dog in the first place. It they were mature the parents would have explained that they couldnt commit long term to a pet. Getting a pet is like having a child, you never know exactly what you'll get as far as personality and attitude. Its up to us to teach them the right and wrong ways to do something. It borders on cruelty if you dont set up boundaries and/or guidelines for your pet. They need a routine and rules to follow. They must have a rewards system and a consistent discipline system. Put yourself in that puppies place. How terrible he must have felt when he sensed the family didnt want him. He must be ecstatic with you and your family. You and your family are truly the heroes in this story. Thanks to you there is a happy ending.

Thank you for your response.
It's so sad to see because this dog is so sweet when we walk her she would still try to go to her first home.We have another dog and she always plaeyd with our dog before so they were friends and now they're like sister and brother. It's so sweet how they wait for eachother. It's true they feel how others think of them or how bad we feel. They immediately come to you to cheer you up.When i pick the little dog up she stats to crawl.
I have to make pictures of the dog just have to and put it in my profile. You will love her immediately.

I believe that there are people for whom the 'idea' of a dog is attractive. They have no conception, really, that it is a 'person' and that it needs caring for and loving as much as any human. For them it is a kind of status symbol (like a new car or having the most garish Christmas decorations in the street, LOL!)
If the kids didn't appreciate the dog, either, then I suspect it's nothing to do with allergy! Most well brought up kids love animals, whether or not they are allergic to them. I suspect a dysfunctional mother/family. Since a dog is part of the family, I think it sad that there are people who will sell a dog to anyone who shows them greenbacks. There are, of course, reputable kennels who thoroughly check out the family and home that the dog is going to.
There ought to be a law against people having pets if they can't care for them (there is, actually, in most countries and states but, unfortunately, you have to prove gross abuse before it can be implemented). There ought to be a law, too, against people being allowed to keep children if they can't bring them up properly ... [sigh]. Another issue!

Yes i think there should be a law for this.and you're right there often people for whom he idea of a dog is attractive.
Having a pet is just like having a child and a great responsibillity.
Well maybe one day there will be a law.

Unfortunately there are people who appreciate dogs only when they'r small and cute. When the dog gets bigger and not so cute and more difficult to take care of, they run away from the responsibility.

Yes those people we see a lot here.I always think that's not what you do to a child too right? If you have a baby that's nice bt babies grow up too.You don't leave a child or give away a child because it's big now.
