Drought and 4 minute showers

NC is under servere drought conditions, one of the interesting suggestions from the State Government was that one should take a maximum of a 4 minute shower. Seemed like it would be impossible, as I usually take 10-15 minutes. Anyway, I tried it with an emphasis on getting showered as quickly as possible(this does include soaping the whole body and washing my hair). I was able to do it with enough spare time to just relax under the water.
Anyone else tried this? Or like me anyone actually practicing this?

10-15 minutes is too long, you are 100% correct. But, I have for years got into the habit of "thinking" in the shower and many ingenuis ideas have resulted from my showering!

I go to school in Durham, and we've been told to conserve water a lot. Most of the time, I turn on the water, get wet, turn it off, lather up, and turn it back on to rinse. I'm pretty sure this uses under 4 minutes of water, but I've never timed it.

Thank you for your response. I used to work in Durham, so, I keep an eye out for it's news. There seemed to be no information about water until suddenly they annouced they only had 60 days left. I read they are now going to use an old quarry which is full of water.
