There are many scams out there as we all know, not only in the online things, but everywhere. I've figured it out(tell me if you think the same) about the pics people show with large payouts. They are showing picture of bogus checks, that they didn't and couldn't cash without going to prison. The only payouts that may even seem pretty legit is the ones shown from paypal. But the checks? Nope, I'm not buying it. If the check is for more than $1000, I'm not buying it. I want more proof, like a pic of them at the bank or the bank statement. Don't you? Other scams? Well, if you or you know someone interested in modeling, know you are being SCAMMED, if the agency asks you to put large sums of money up. Now mind you, I'm repeating information said by Ms. Super Model herself, Tyra Banks. She gave this information on one of her Next Top Model shows. And says that there are many photographers who will pay you to get your portfolio started or do pro bono so you will have something to take to a "real" model agency. Well, that's what I have to say on scams, what feedback or information do you have?

There's always someone out to steal your dreams; that's the stuff scams are made of. Props and promises are to get your greed going and the scammin' is easy after that. Just remember that if it sounds (or looks) too good to be true it probably is.

Well I have actually been scammed in the past and its not pleasant. I was in my teens and some so called modeling agency came to town. They took pictures of me and then wanted hundreds of dollars for them. I was young and stupid and never read between the lines of the forms they gave me and stupidly paid them the money only to never hear from them again. You have to be very careful because their are alot of scammers out there. One thing to do is call up the Better Business Bureu who are listed in the phone book for you can find them online and ask them about the agency. I waited until it was too late and they informed me that yes it was all a scam.

Actually no enough is not said. This is the first response you have given one my discussions where I wasn't clear on what you were referring back to from my discussion. I don't know if the insomnia is catching up with me or not, but could you please elaborate more, not just for me, but for the possible new mylotter who may read this? I'd greatly appreciate it. You give so much valid information, and I always benefit somehow someway from what you say. Thank you.

Yes, my mother instilled in me the same thing your grandmother instilled in you. I always make sure I read before I sign something, even if it's something I may have signed before, because you just never know when something has been changed. Thank you so much for your response, it is greatly appreciated.
