Bogey or Cagney?

If I had to choose, I'd say Cagney. I've never really liked Bogart. Although, I prefer Cagney's non gangster roles, like Yankee Doodle Dandy. I'm not really a fan of either of their typical films.

bogart had it for me. we would take our lady friends to see 'casablanca' with the promise of a pair of stockings and lipstick if we got a kiss. cagney got you nothing. but a fine actor.

I'd have to say Bogart but mainly because he made some of my favorite all time movies. To be honest, I really haven't seen that many of Cagney's movies, so I guess I"m not a good judge. Annie

Bogart gets my vote. Love him in Casablanca and The African Queen. I think he had more variety in his roles. He was more suave and debonair that Cagney. It seemed Cagney usually played the mean, tough guy. Although, he could sing and dance and I don't think Bogart ever did that on the big screen. My favorite Cagney role was in Yankee Doodle Dandy, I think he played George M. Cohan? PEACE

I like Bogart better, I think it has to do with the voice.

I prefer Bogey myself. His acting I liked. Cagney, for some reason, his acting, though good, no lie, I wasn't as into him as I was Bogey. I love Bogey's stuff. Cagney kind of leaves me cold. I saw him in some Movies and though he was good, I guess he played the roles too good(like in Public Enemy);
