What do you do when the power goes out during a winter storm?

If your power goes out are you able to stay safe, warm and cozy? If not, do you have some where to go? Are you prepared?

I would buy more candles too, but I don't think I would go out and play with my friends, because it would be too cold for me, I guess I'm getting too old. I think if the power went out I would stay home and cuddle up in lots of warm blankets and listen to my battery operated radio, and if it got too cold would have to try to go to a motel some where. Or maybe to family or friends house if they still had power. Thank you for responding to this discussion.

We have a wood-burning fireplace and always have plenty of wood on hand for heating our house in the winter. Sooooo...when/if the power goes out, we are still warm and toasty. :-)
