Have you every speed dated?

I went once. It was actually for an assignment for the column I write. There are couple of really nice people but a couple of major losers, as well. I don't think you can ever find really high-caliber people at speed dating or in bars. Your best bet to be the high-caliber person is you hang in a places you like, in my case independent bookstores, indie movie theaters and dance classes, or places where people are working for social change. And, this is always a good route too, if you spy a cutie talking to your friend, ask him or her to introduce you.

in school, we did a mock speed dating. it was fun and different from the usual dating where we all had our time to spare and topics to discuss. in our speed dating, topics were given and time limits were set to allow everyone to meet each other.
