In January my family is always trying to economize. It is a habit or a custom. Christmas is always expensive and the food very tasty and rich. So in January we eat more soups and stews and save. I always by clothes that are on sale in January or sheets or china. Are you having these sales, too? Which is the month of the year for you to economize most?

I am frugal every month of the year. I buy gifts when they are on sale to get the best price. Shopping around is helpful too. The clearance rack is the first place I head for when shopping.

We do have a lot of items on sale this month. I tend to lay low and wait for clearance. The only time I pay full-price for an item is if it is absolutely necessary for me to have it.

I'm really frugal all year long. I agree, January is a good month for sales on just about anything. I love to make soups and stews too all fall and winter...they're cheap and easy.

I am frugal all year long if I need to or not. I have so much I want to do and see in life that I feel like we need every penny to get there. I am always saving up for the next thing I think I need. Around Christmas I always try to get good deals for the next year. In January there are great after Christmas sales that I dig through.

Do to our tight budget we economize every month. I am a very frugal person. We keep the thermostat low and never use lights during the day. I shop at goodwill for our clothes and other things we need. We buy angelfood boxes every month. We also utilize our county food bank. We spend about 40.00 a week on groceries and paper products. I never buy anything we dont really need.

I splurge a little in December on gifts and food, but I do buy as much as I can on sale and with coupons and I do save all year for the holidays. I think we practice frugal living all year long. We recycle and reuse everything we can, save money by buying items on clearance and use coupons and discounts to save money.

Honestly every month we economize. Just think if you did what you do in January all year long. I will admit that when my husband is deployed which can be pretty much anytime. I economize more not really meaning too but since it is just my kids and myself we eat cheaper, we don't do too many things outside of the house and eat at home.

I eat at home, too. It makes a difference.
