I've heard that amanita coesarea is very good for salads, just cut and dressed with salt and olive oil. Personally, I seldom eat some slices of 'champignon' mushrooms among other things in more complex salades containing also vegetables and carrots and seeds.

I love button mushrooms fresh or cooked in most anything.

I love to eat raw mushrooms in my salads. They taste great and add to the other ingredients. I also like tomatoes and carrots. For something different try making a salad with lettuce, romaine, and other leafy greens. Then add dried cranberries, pecans, and mandarin orange slices. Top it with raspberry vinagrette. It is delicious.

If I were in a restaurant or in somebody's house, I wouldn't object to raw mushroom in a salad, but if I were making salad at home myself, I wouldn't add raw mushroom. I prefer to eat mushrooms cooked. The cooking process seems to bring out more flavor in them.
