How promptly do you switch off your alarm clock ringing in the morning?

My wife is very very fast in this morning procedure, so that sometimes -unwillingly- we fall asleep again and have to run to be ready for breakfast.

I'm pretty prompt with it because I got used to it. Here is my anti-'fall back asleep' strategy: I use my cell phone's alarm to wake me up, and I put the phone far enough away that I can't turn off the alarm without getting out of bed. That way, once I turn it off, I'm already up, and it's a lot easier to keep from falling back asleep once you're out of bed. :P

I usually wake up before my alarm goes off. If I happen to be asleep when it goes off I shut it off immediately and get up and out of bed.

" I wake up to the sound of music..." so there are times where the dream I was having suddenly has it own soundtrack then I wake up.But most times the alarm goes off and I just wake up.My clock radio is set to the oldie station so one morning this week I woke to Led Zepplin and instead of just getting up and turning off the alarm, I stayed and listened to the song.

Once I wake up I turn it off and I then get up right away. I do not hit the snooze button nor to I lay in bed contenpleting the day. I am deaf in on ear so sometimes it takes me awhile for the alarm to wake me up if I am laying on my good ear. My alarm clock starts at a low sound and granduly goes up until I turn off the alarm.

I have a tendency to hit the snooze button more often than I should. Springing from that I now have three alarm clocks. Two alarms on my cell phone set a half hour apart and a clock radio. The first alarm is set to snooze at 5 minutes and sounds very relaxing. The second is loud and annoying - kind of a signal that I've been in bed too long. The clock radio goes off around 10 minutes after the first alarm.
