Have you ever actually found a worm in an apple?

For some reason I'm always paranoid when I'm eating apples. If I see any pits that resemble a worm hole(not that I know what one looks like), I'll cut that part off. But I suppose it's just paranoia. I have yet to bite into an apple and find a worm in it. With all the pesticides they spray on the stuff, I doubt it ever happens. What say you?

Hello! Well, I have never found a worm in an apple, and I'm glad for that. I also can't feel comfortable while eating an apple which has those small holes on it. I open fruits before eating, just to double check. I guess I have already eaten a worm in an apple, and probably you did aswell, you just didn't see. Let's hope it stay this way. Respectfully.

yes i have found a worm in my apple.. it wasnt like one of those big worms as they always show in an apply it was a tiny one and there was about 3 or 4 of them.. they are like a maggot but not quite.. they are just tiny tiny little things.. i dont bite into apples anymore to say the least and if it looks like there is markings on the apple i wont eat it.. only way i know for sure is to cut the apple up...

ewwww, I always just thought this was a myth that there would never ever be any worms in apples - and I have never seen one in any apple I have eaten and there are always apples in my house, as my husband and kids also like them. I dont know if this helps you at all but I guess if you are always concerned you can just cut the apple into quarters or something first, personally I usually cut mine first anyway - thats just the way I prefer to eat an apple as I dont like eat the apple whole to the core (if that makes sense???)
