Of God's Goodness I Will Sing
=============================
When I wake up in the morning
and the sun dances on my face,
When I wash to cleanse my body
and pray for a day of grace;When I step out into the sunshine
and look at everything
I will praise God my Creator
And of God's goodness I will sing.
================================
When the storm clouds round me gather
and the sky grows dark and grim
When trials beset my soul
and it's hard to think of Him
When death's angel lurks around me
and at my door is a knocking
I will lift my voice in prayer
and of God's goodness I will sing.

When I close my eyes in death
and in my casket lie
When friends gather round me
for the final goodbye
When life in me is over
and the final shovel of dirt they fling
My soul will fly to Jesus
and of God's goodness I will sing.

Yes, God is always good. He cannot be other wise!..We must never forget He likes to hear our prayers and especially our thanks!

I love it..I love the enjoyment...
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

That is a beautiful poem, Little Franciscan. I think you should publish your poetry! There are a number of ways you can do it but DON'T pay someone to publish for you, whatever you do!. I think Zazzle and Cafepress now have a 'publish on demand' service and Lulu specialises in it! All you need to do is to make up your book in Word or similar (to the page size you want and with the illustrations you want,&c), make a PDF of it (which you can do free by sending the document to Adobe online) and upload it to the site of your choice, set your price and away you go. People can then order a copy of the book online from Lulu, Zazzle or Cafepress. It is printed and bound in the format you choose and the customer receives a copy. You automatically receive the profit into your account!If you decide to do that, I really wish you luck! I think your poems deserve a wider audience!

I would love to tag your answer the best since you have given so much advice as to how to gather my poems into a book..but the box for best answer ..at least on this topic only goes up to 4..so I will wait to see if they get it fixed..In the meantime I will push the plus button..

Thank you very much..I am hoping for some comments as many have told me I should try to put my poetry into a book.. I have been writing since I was just 7 years old..I usually write my poetry after much time in prayer..
I do not write silly poems..they are always about God or some of His Holy friends:)+
