2008 - Do you believe on the luck that it brings?

It would be really nive to believe this but how can it be a lucky year for everyone?? not everyone in the world can be lucky all at once... there may be a few people that this happens to but I think that it would just be purely coincidence that it happened to be 2008 that was thier lucky yeat. That is my opinion anyway....

I don't believe in luck, as corny as it sounds I only believe in Chance and Probability, Chance because something might happen and Probability because things wont always 100% truthfully happen.

Hello! I am sorry, but I do not believe that people can predict things. Also, I don't believe in luck numbers. For me, luck are opportunities on the right moment. So, well, I guess we cannot know when are the opportunities arriving. However, I'll do my best to make this year an enjoyable one, and live it to the most. I'll try to make the difference on this 2008. Respectfully.

i dont really know if i believe in luck.. or fate or any of that.. i know stuff happens for but i dont think its part of any divine plan or can be predicted with accuracy.. i believe that if enough people think it will bring luck and believe that 8 is a lucky number (such as many chinese) that it brings enough positive energy and thought in peoples life that better things happen and people are more productive and happier and more hopeful etc.. but talk to those people in 2009 and see if theyre as happy after new years :D

There are no such things as lucky numbers. In fact, numbers aren't even technically 'real' as concepts--they are just a tool we invented so that we could do math. Numerology has been proven time and time again to be the kind of pseudoscientific nonsense that causes a lot of people to waste time and money (especially paying 'psychics'). It has zero credibility, and the concept of "lucky numbers" in general is a sham. Don't waste your time with fallacies like this, I say. And look at the practical side of it. Our numbering system for the years is completely arbitrary! There is no univeral clock that designated this year to be "2008" in the first place--the universe has been around for billions of years! That just makes it more obvious that these "fortune tellers" are full of it. Events on Earth will not magically become more 'good' or 'bad' (to our limited perception, anyway) just because the arbitrary year that's been assigned to THIS particular revolution around the sun happens to have a decimal "8" in it (what if we used the binary number system for years? Then there would never be an 8 in ANY year, just ones and zeros. Would that mean "bad luck" every year? Honestly, now).

not really because number 8 is not really a lucky number for me. My lucky numbers are 7 and 27. I will stick with them i think

I hope 2008 is a good year for me. In Chinese culture,8 is a lucky number and people believe 8 will bring them good luck and wealth. I consider 2008 as a special year coz the Olymipic Games will hold in my hometown Beijing.It is a cherished time and good chance for the whole world to learn Beijing,learn China.

Well this is actually fascinating because I didn't know that 8 is a lucky number. I am actually very into numerology and numbers but haven't researched lately. I don't think that every single day will be lucky but their will be some lucky good days for some people. Its like that every single year we have our good days where we are on top of the world and we have our bad days where we don't want to get out of bed. Thats just part of life. If it were possible for this year to bring about a great deal of luck then I hope those fortune tellers are right because my son is going to be born in 2008 however for me it will be a year of struggles so I have to wait it out and see what takes place.
