My first is"A Vision of Light" by Judith Merkle Riley it's basically a story of a woman in a time before education was a woman's right. Sad, funny and hopeful.
Second is"Uncommon Wisdom" by Fritjof Capra, it contains conversations with remarkable people. Norman Cousins described this book "as a marvelous smorgasbord of contempory ideas - science, metaphysics, religion, philosophy, and health. No one should come to this table who expects to go away hungry." It's hard to put this book down.

I've read Angela's Ashes by Frank Mccourt at least five times. Everytime I read it gets better and better. Some people don't give the book a chance because the story is told in a deep Irish brogue, but it is an excellent memoir ! The movie is great too. People who have a hard time following the book may want to watch the movie first. It may make it even better !
