Honestly,I feel hurt when other people say something negative about me. But as I mature,I learned that even if the truth hurts,we still have to accept the fact that we can't please everyone. These negative opinions of people can help us become a better person.

A pertinent post.
If someone tells us our negative qualities, which should deeply think it over. We should see if he really wants to imporve upon ourselves or he is just critising us. I agree that it really hearts, if we are told about our negative qualities. But on the other hand, we should not mind - because nobody is perfect on this earth, so we should accept this fact gracefully that we may be having some negative points and we have to adjust ourselves accordingly in our relations.

Pl. read 'we' instead of 'which' in first line.

This is true. Hearing from other people negative stuff about you is like a wake-up call, basically, it's more of you have to introspect and think of the things you can do to change that negative stuff. :D

It does hurt when someone says something negative about me. But I take it in the light it is given. Generally it is not said to hurt your feelings. It does but that is not the intention. I listen with a open mind and if I think it is valid (sometimes it is not) than I will try to change what they have told me about. I agree with you that this can help us to be a better person.

I think it hurts every time someone says something negative. It depends on how they say it or if it is only their opinion that means the most to me. Sometimes people say negative things just to hurt others feelings.

Yeah...I agree with you on that point. It's quite hard to tell what someone's motive is of saying negative things about you. But despite those negative things we hear from other people, our respect and love for one's self is what matters most.
