Interracial Relationship???

Well, if the things are the way you think they are, then its trully an unfortunate thing! In this era of the 21st century, its really tough to believe that people still live with the feelings of racial discreaminations, and that too in developed countries like Italy! I would only suggest you to ignore her. You should keep in mind that you have to go on with your boyfriend rather than his mother. So, the best thing to do is to simply ignore her. One more thinn I would like you to take notice of. Are you sure the old lady doesn't like you as you are a black girl? I mean, there may be other reasons. Mothers are very attached with their sons, and when a new lady (son's girlfriend/wife) comes into his life, the mother finds it difficult to cope up with since the son seems to take more care of the new lady. There may be other such reasons as well. So, I would suggest you to think deeply about the circumstances and then make an opinion about the lady. All the Best!

Oh my God I love Italians !!!!! Please understand Italians are very passionate people. His Mom is Only Behaving this way because of the Laws of the Universe. Do not take any of this personally !!!!! Incidentally....I'm Native -American , and when I was Much younger... I encountered this exact situation with the Family of the Italian I was Dating. When you understand the " 7 laws of the Universe " you will understand everything. All people are good !!!!

Give up trying to change other people, only they can do that. A better question would be if you like this guy enough to put up with his crazy mom (it's always a package deal).

Have you asked your boyfriend, because if he knew what she felt then he might have told you before hand. Maybe find something that you both have an interest in so you can start a conversation with her and see what her reaction is, but if you think she is still being prejudice i would speak to her on her own and in a calm voice just ask her if she has a problem with you dating her son.
