What do you say?

What do you say if you have someone who constantly buys you gifts that you really do not like? I don't know what to say because I am afraid of saying the wrong thing and hurting someone's feelings. If it just happened once it would be no big deal, but when it is year after year for my birthday and for Christmas I wished I could say something. What would you say or would you just say nothing?

i think i would say the adventage of the gift and avoid to say something about the feeling. it may make your friend depressed if you say nothing. tell your friends you are happy to receive the gifts.

Yeah, I think you are right. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and they may get depressed. I will just take the gifts and figure out what to do with them from there. Thanks for the advice and have a great day posting!

I always feel that it is old practice to give gifts to your friends during any occassion, especially during their birthday. Even if I give, I usually give something which they can use in their day to day life. Last birthday occassion I gave a ceiling fan as presentation. The guy hung it above his head and I am satisfied.

I think that you should just tell this person that it is really un-necessary to buy you anything. Let them know that you don't feel like they should buy you anything since you don't exchange with them also.
