Mylot is playing a game with Ranking system?

I think they are definitely using it to their advantage not ours. I was a little controversial the other day (but still polite) and I lost 3 star points overnight. While I could really care the number on my star, when I see that 4 I think, he must be someone you can't trust I would think. My guess is that controversy is not as profitable for my lot as pc, light discussions like what's your favorite color. I wish they could maybe have two forums. My Lot Lite and My Lot Real or something. People should be allowed to disagree politely about something. I don't understand it at all.

Actually I have no idea of mylot's ranking system.I have no idea.I just keep posting.I think the ranking system will not effect our earnings.

i dont care already the ranking of mylot, but my question is for the star almost everyday i get best responce but suddenly they change the number of my star it goes down to 9. i dont know what happen. did someone make a negative on me but they keep on putting negative.

I noticed that the ranking system was off a while ago. I have completely tuned it out. I do not really even notice it any more. I don't know what difference it is suppose to make.

I dont think mylot is playing a game with the ranking system that they have added here. For me its a sort of a motivation to do more and pst more quality responses and not just for the sake of giving the responses. Its all about the meat in your posts and the meater the post you got the higher ranking you get. I have also noticed that when you post regularly on that particular interest your ranking on that particula interest will become higher and higher and definitely would let you reach the highest rank though many of us share that rank, but the thought of having one of the higest ranks is reason enough to make good and be more ceative whne it comes to posting here on mylot.

With the star system.. maybe so. I mean look at ME. I've been put through the mud for the crime of free speech, having an opinion, being expressive with interests and helping people with their problems (yes, I'm mostly convinced all of these are crimes now. -_-) With the level interest system, there's a game there too. People who haven't been on in months have top billing for some interests, meanwhile people who are more current and are at present active in an interest have little or now interest ranking. Some members though can see who is good at what and when discussions happen, things come together there for the most part. Other times, some people really put a lot of effort on mylot and in interests... they get either no recognition, no level, or at times punishment via star or level.

I don't even pay attention to the ranking system. I do think they give you a rank if you have that as one of your interest. I am thinking if you don't have a ranking you don't have that as an interest. I am not sure though, I just ignore the ranking system.

Hi! If they have rank in that interest, they did not list/accept it as an interest. When you join a new interest, you are a 1 you get higher numbers as you go.

In order to have a rank, you have to have that is your interest. So, if you play tennis, but you do not put tennis as your rank, your rank will not be listed. And for those of you who sing, but do not put down singing as your interest, you will not be ranked on that. I do think the ranking system is intimidating as it is based on others's views of the subject and may not be true. It is simple if you have writing and you get a good point, but if you put down tolerance, someone who interprets that as it does not matter what the others do will interpret it differently from someone who believes you should be polite to someone who is either Muslim, Black, fat, or whatever.

I don't think much about them really..I jsu come here to connect with my mylot friends and I use it as a sounding board at times.. I don't jhave expectations so I won't be disappointed with whatever they do.. I just be and let be..lol xoxoxoxo

who knows does it really matter where we rank tho i think as long as we are having fun and talking about what we like to talk about and being honest in our replys it doesn't matter if we are first in ranking or last in rankings or whether we are ranked at all.

First you might consider how often the site updates the rankings. They only update your earnings once a day and they may do the same with the rankings.

From my understanding of the new ranking system of interest depends on how many discussions you participated in on the interest subject. So the person that didn't have a ranking hasn't responded to any or very few discussions in that category before. At least that is the way I understand it to be.

Yeah, mylot should explain all the earnings and ranking system very soon. It's for the sake of mylot and te member I think. I don't feel intimidated... yet. Cause I don't get the system very clear. I'm new here and still enjoying.
