Dogs always want to be with you and also want all sort of comforts but when it comes to sleeping on your bed do you let you dog do that.

No,I don't let my Duoduo sleeping on my bed, though she is a member of my family but I cannot accept a dog sleeping with me.Of course I prepare a special bed for her near my bed so if she wants to see me,she can.But sleeping with me is impossible.

I do as long as she doesn't come to any higher than my stomach. As much as they are out friends, we are forced to control them to a point. To them this is also a sign of respect for you, as is showing their stomach. But it still increases the security, friendship, and other positive factors in my relationship with my beautiful dog Belle.

Some people do, but I find that to be too much-in our culture, dogs are great friends, but they cannot be so close as to share a bed with their masters, No reason absolutely!

We have two puppies, a rottweiller who is a big boy and loves to lay on our bed on his back, however I do not like him sleeping on the bed as he is too big. Our other puppy is a Jack Russell and she has her own bed but often we let her sleep under the top cover down at our feet. I do not like her to be under the covers with us. During the winter both dogs are mostly in the house as it is too cold to be outside so there is not the same issues as I have during the summer when I prefer both dogs to be on the floor in their own beds.

I don't want to share my bed at night with my dog so he sleeps in his crate then. But during days if he wants to take a nap, then he can sleep in my bed.

I used to allow our dog Razor to sleep on the bed back in Virgina. When we moved to a much bigger home in Arizona this past year I was allowing him to do so too. Then one evening in November when I wanted to go to bed and he was in my space he decided to growl at me when I told him down. Now, he may sleep in the room, but no longer on the bed. The person who said their dog is part of the pack and that is how they do it has it a little bit wrong. The Alpha (Leader) of the pack does not allow other members of the pack to sleep where he/she does. Neither should the human leader of the pack. At best, you are allowing the dog to think they are your equal and that will not work! Razor is a wonderful and friendly dog, but I am the Leader of our Pack and that is the way it will stay. He knows that now!

We have three dogs. They think it is their bed, sleep on it all day, and then and allow us to sleep in it with them at night. I never get cold at night!

well that is one thing i dont let my dogs do...n that is sleep with me on my bed.... sometimes when i feel a lil sad or a lil insecure i let my dog on the bed with me for a while but then let him down immediately so that it doesnt become a habit.... it isnt good to let ur dog invade ur private space....sometimes its ok but not all the time.... i know of a family who let their dogs eat, sleep n sh*t where ever they feel like.... one day i heard that the dog had sh*t on the owners bed int he night while they all were sleepin.... now that isnt a good habit...is it?

Sure my dogs sleep on my bed. I have a big bed and three dogs. They all want to sleep in my bed. It is a bed with two sides. I sleep on one side and the dogs on the other. This way we are all happy. I am lucky, none of us snores. Happy mylotting!

My dogs sleep on the bed, they are part of the pack and that is the way dogs are wired. I think that reminding them that they are part of the pack and I'm the leader helps when there are potential problems, like other dogs.

My dog comes onto the bed when we go to bed to have a few treats, she is allowed to stay on there with us but generally ends up sleeping on the floor next to my side of the bed. She is part of the family and we have 2 cats to so it wouldn't be fair not to let the dog sleep on the bed as the cats do.
