That just about the same as a discussion you just started....
I just did. I start a discussion about teddy bear and just as I submit it, I found the same discussion below my discussion. I feel awkward because maybe people with thought that I copy that discussion which is not. I made it without realising there are already a same topic on discussion..
What did you do when you have this situation?

oh, it has not yet happened to me. there are topics that are very common. it is unavoidable that people will raise the same discussion. if you inadvertently come up with the same topic with the others, i think it is OK. but if you intentionally copy the same discussion, then it is not OK.

I have done that too. I just shrug it off as an honest mistake. Sometimes I remember to search before posting but even that's no guarantee. There are tons of repeated discussions here so it's bound to happen. I think everyone is pretty understanding of it usually. Now if the wording is identical then it cause problems but as long as it's your own spin on the topic I think it's fine.

I don't have problem with it, as long as it is not identical word from word. I even once found one topic with the same title as mine, but good thing is we have very different subject and way of writing that topic.
If ever you saw some, try to look at it first then report it if the discussion was copied and/or was stolen from you..

hey i have seen many people who had taken topic but they change little bit from it. and some think that i have copied them . but when they see that i had did the first then they know. in ur case it is different i think u should not think about that because many time i had startded one discussion two times by mistakes.
one advice from is that now u should try to search first about it then post it.

Well i have one discussion with the same title and subject but i have a different approach to it so i guess people wouldn't really say i copied it. It's just that it was the most appropriate title. =)
