Do you response to a discussion with an intention to get best response?

I take every discussion that I respond to a bit seriously, hoping for a best response but to no effect, I've only got 6. The last time I checked my best responses, it was only 4. I stopped checking it for while because every time I did, I'd only feel bad for not getting a best response. Best response or not, people commenting on my posts are very much appreciated.

Hi there! I don't intend to be the best response to every topic I post. I respond to topics with the intent of helping someone and to be able to share my ideas. We don't know sometimes that our response is what the discussion starter thinks to be the best. There are ideas that the starter wants and they mark it as the best response.

I never answer a discussion with the intentions of getting a best response.. but if i happen to get one then i always go back and thank them for giving it to me. I just answer the discussion honestly and to the best of my ability and if i get the best response YIPPEE and if i dont well that's okay too cause it wasn't my intention or goal in the first place :)

I respond to every discussion with the intention of giving MY best response. That doesn't mean the original poster will think it's the best and that's fine with me. As long as I know that I gave it my best that's all that matters. I don't post with hopes of getting that designation and I will still give it my best even if best response has already been given out.

Being chosen as best response is good and all but I personally feel better having responded to that particular discussion with the intent of bursting out and saying what I think, what I feel and what my opinion is about that topic and to also be of help of people who probably needs answers.. maybe I could help..that's what I feel when I respond. No intentions at all.

Whenever i decide to respond to a particular discussion, i just answer by heart and try to express thoroughly what ideas i want to impart. I don't consciously think about getting the best response. I'm happy enough to have the oppurtunity to share my thoughts to others. Being choosen as the best responder is just like an icing on the cake.

I like discussions for their own sake. I take every reply I give fairly seriously, even if it's a discussion where the best response has already been chosen. What I value about mylot is the chance to talk to others, and sometimes to delve into topics that aren't easily tackled face-to-face. I didn't notice my first few best responses, either. I wound up checking them only after responding to a discussion about best responses saying I didn't think I had any... and then found that I actually had a few already. It surprised me. It still surprises me how many I have: I haven't counted in a long time, but there are hundreds! I honestly have to say I don't know why, only that I do my best in each and every discussion, not for the sake of ratings or best responses, but because somewhere out there real people are starting, replying to, and reading these discussions.

No I don't. Though I gave every response seriously but I have no best responds. I will do my best afterwards. Congratulations then.
