Quiet can be good as long as it doesn't isolate you too much. I had my quiet time between marriages and though it didn't help in my second choice, lol, it clarified what I would allow to happen when I got *back out there* again.

Being in a relationship certainly can put a damper on our inclinations at times, can't it? Unless you are one of the lucky ones with an open minded SO?

With a complete stranger? Only once. A pretty Asian girl I met at a club, that I just couldn't keep my eyes off of. Apparently she couldn't keep her hands off me, considering she was doing some pretty naughty things while we were dancing. 
I'm not even sure if it counts as a one night stand, since we wound up dating a while later, but at the time we meant it to be.
I have had "one night stands" with people I considered friends, but that doesn't seem quite the same thing to me.
I don't really plan on having any more one night stands in the future, but you never know!

I have to admit I miss friends-with-benefits and such sometimes, now that I'm married.

You got it! He only puts 100K worth of value on me, but a million on himself, so yes, insurance can be a beautiful thing! lol I have a good divorce lawyer in the wings who has assured me that should we come to divorce before widowhood, my name will never be taken off the policy as beneficiary. So it's a win win for me and I'm a very patient person! LOL

I'm married now, more's the pity, but even so, they are not my idea of a good time, unless I was really drunk or stoned and wouldn't be too affected by it anyway. lol

I have never ever had a one night stand. I attempted to have a one night stand one time and he became 5 years of penance I had to do for committing adultery.
Long story. But let's just say I learned my lesson. Now I don't give it up until I'm certain I want the guy to stick around for more than a couple of months.

You have a unique way of expressing yourself cynical. *Give it up*. I think of it more as *allowing you (him) to enter my temple, so be respectful*. I guess I place a very high value on myself. No wonder I'm sexually repressed! lol

in a happy marriage, one night stand does not find any place. both the couple have full commitment to each other. one night stands are really pleasurable for one night only. but will have a long lasting effect of the affected spouse. the guilt of betrayal always lingers throughout the life.
