House chores

Just curious as to which chores you absolutely don't like to do.? I know they aren't all that fun but there has to be one you absolutely don't like to do.? I don't like to put clothes away and do the dishes. I don't mind folding them, I like to fold them. I have three kids and a husband who doesn't do much chores anyway. The kids help some by putting there clothes away. but with a family of 5 and I work to you can imagine the clothes piling up so most of the time you can get clean clothes off the couch. As for the dishes we usually use paper plates. but for some reason when i'm at work my husband uses regular plates and leaves the dishes for me to do. So doing the dishes is at the top of the list of chores I hate.

LOL...I am the Mother of 3 beautiful children and a wife to a Husband who I also classify as a kid most of the time. I swear my Mom has some secret that she isnt letting me in on. Her house is always spotless and I swear I can clean all day and it literally is a wreck again the next day! I love doing Laundry...the smell of it when it comes out of the dryer is very relaxing to me...And I dont mind the folding part either...However I just HATE putting it away...Its horrible...Like I have a mental block about putting away laundry..LOL...My friend is opposite...she hates folding, but doesnt mind the putting away part..We are going to start a buddy system where I fold hers and she puts mine away. Nice huh? My other hated chore is dishes...I have a dishwasher finally that makes it a little easier, but when there are 3 people in the house that dont rinse their dishes and they sit then you might as well be doing them by hand anyway! I seriously could clean toilets the rest of my life if it never meant putting another single article of clothing away or touching the dishes! HA...like thats ever going to happen right? Well maybe when win the lotto and hire a maid it will work itself out! :)

And he wonders why I get pissy when I am cleaning when he is home...HEllO!! :)

I agree with the toilet cleaning. LOL LOL. the buddy systems a good idea. and yes my husbands the biggest kid i got.

Well i am a man and i do just anything in our house.Cleaning, cooking, dishes, anything. I do them without whining, because my father and mother are working and theres limited time for them to dedicate to themselves. However that doesnt mean i like everything i do - my worst chore is cleaning the dust from the furniture.Mainly because my mother is collecting souvenirs and i have to take them all off and then back on the furniture, something that later becomes very boring and tiring.

Same as you, the washing are the most I hate but there's nothing I could. Instead of paying others or let my parents do that chore for me, I just do my best to be more responsible and wash clothes (mine) or do the dishes. As a guy, I also don't prefer to sweep the floor. But it seems that the people who I live with are too stubborn to simply do it by themselves, so I'm also the one who does it..

It would have to be dusting. Its not the act that I don't like, its the effect it has. The dust goes in the air, and then my sinuses flare up on cue. Works everytime. Even masks and covering fail to prevent it.

I totally agree with you! I loathe doing the dishes and putting the clothes away. I rather use paper plates. I like doing the laundry and folding it - but don't like putting them away. Vacuuming is okay. My husband is great - he does the dishes, sweeps, vacuums, takes out trash, weeds. Thank goodness!

I hate doing dishes. I like doing laundry and the smell of freshly laundered clothes. I don't even mind putting them away. But those dishes!!

I have to agree with you. I hate putting clothes away and my children are being "trained" to put their own clothes away. They're only 4, 3, and 2 so it sometimes becomes more of a chore to have them put their clothes away then it is to just do it myself. I also don't like doing the dishes. I love cooking, but doing all the dishes afterwards drives me nutty! Though I'm getting a new dishwasher soon, so that should help! Woot woot!

Speaking of house chores, i just did 3 days straight before the new year the chores i really hate to do which is doing the laundry. I know its part of daily lives thats why i couldnt avoid it as i will still do it even i hate it. That 3 days for me is like a punishment as i did a lot from many clothes, curtains, bed sheets phew! after i finished all it was really a relief and the reward..back pains

i hate putting clothes away too. i enjoy doing dishes and vacuuming for that matter. i absolutly HATE dusting though. i cant stand the feeling of getting dust on my hands, drives me nuts. and im fine cleaning everything in the bathroom except the tub. i hate having to be in that awkward bent over, one arm keeping you from falling face first into the darn thing.

I agree, doing the dishes is my least favorite chore. I break my chores down into days. On Mondays I do all the laundry. On Tuesday I sweep, mop, vacuum.dust and clean the bathroom. On Wednesday I bake. I make cookies, brownies, bread, muffins, biscuits and sometimes a pie or cake. We use these all week in lunch boxes, for desserts and snacks. On Thursday I strip the beds and put on clean sheets, I wash the sheets and cook up meals for the weekends. I work FridAy,Saturday and Sunday So nothing really gets done at home on those days. I work 10am to 10 pm. So by MoNday there are alot of dishes to catch up.Some day I will own a dishwasher.lol

Laundry is right up there on mine...I don't mind putting it away right now because we're living out of 2 dressers and a laundry basket for 5 people and they're all kept in the same room but I hate the time it takes to fold everything. I'm fine with dishes as long as it's not a sinkful that everyone else in the house piled up and left since most of the time there are 4 adults, 2 or 3 teenagers, and 3 little boys...and only 1 of the other adults ever does dishes besides me, not that I expect the little ones to do it either!

I don't like to do dishes and even puting the dishes in the dish washer is a problem for me, fortunately my sister does that usually so I am really happy to have her. I also don't like making bed, I do that only when it is so messy that I can't sllep in it any more although I must say I really prefer sleeping in the tidy bed :)
