We are looking for a safe alternative to getting our cat declawed. I have heard about softpaws? have any of you tried it? how long do the set of nails stay on? Do you use any other products i should know about? We just bought a 1,200 couch, and my boy is more then concerned that my cat is going to scratch it. I saw some sprays at petco you can spray on furniture, and it is suppose to stop a cat from scratching? Which products do you use? or do you have any tips?

We have tried softpaws, the double sided tape and one or two of the sprays, nothing has worked for us at all. Don't waste your money on the tape. We found that we got stuck to it more than then cats did, plus it gets really dirty and non-sticky quickly.

Softpaws are easy for cats to pull off. Try using double-sided tape on spots he likes to scratch, and he'll be detracted quicker than you can imagine!
