My gold fish laid eggs in my tank after around 3yrs I brought them.
It was exciting moment for me.
But unfortunately I was not knowing what to do.
I even don't have a spare tank to keep my fish.
So I let the fish eat the eggs.
But after that experience I m having 5 tanks at my home.
Also I learnt to find out male and female in goldfish.

I have had my fish lay eggs but they got ate by other fish. The eggs usually attach themselves to the ornaments in the tank. But are eaten within a week or so. I think that you have to remove all other fish when eggs are lain in order for them to survive.

I have had a few goldfish ponds where the fish would spawn and then in the spring there would be hundreds of baby goldfish that looked like mosquito larvae (only they did not swim face down like mosquito larvae do).
