Hello everyone! This is a big year in the USA, while we vote on a new president for next year. There are so many options that I just don't know where to begin. I know more of who I don't want, than who I want. What's the best way to vote in the primary elections if you're still not sure of who you want to vote for? My husband and I are new to elections. The last presidential election was our first time voting for president. We just want your thoughts so that we can come up with an effective way to vote in the primary election next month. Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!

CHeck out the candidates record, find out what it is they want to do if elected President, so you can make an informed decision once elected.

Yes, but how would one go about doing that? Where would I find that information, in an un-biased form with all of the candidates mentioned. I've already decided some that I don't want, but still can't decide on who I actually want to vote on.

Just an update, I was in the hospital again and unable to vote, so this discussion was unfortunately not needed. Sorry! But thanks to the whole TWO of you that actually responded!

Just remember, you only get to vote in the primary elections for your party...if you are a Democrat, you can vote in the Democrat primary...if you are Republican, you will be allowed to vote in the Republican primary. After all of the state primaries are over, they will hold the conventions and vote on the candidate to run for president against the other party. It will be an interesting year. Already some surprises have shown up.

yes, but if you're an independent, you can choose - and that's where the problem lies for me. Which one do I vote for? Or should I just forget about it and see who gets picked in the primaries? UGH! Too many choices!

It's OK, I'm not big into politics either, hence the post to try to find out more. Thanks for posting.
