What is a Overbearing male or female?

How do you know if a male or female is truly an overbearing person? I have been ask this question many of times and don't really know how to answer it. Can anyone help out?

well for me its a person that is always tring to be incontrol. over doing things and always making things there business. i have a friend like that and she just drives me nuts. its always her way or nothing.
