There is (as yet) no cure for Diabetes. Careful diet is really the only 'natural' way to live with it but medications are good. Make sure that you know everything there is to know about it and ask your doctor to explain exactly what your medication does for you. That way you will better be able to work with your doctor in treating it.
You should also consider joining a local support group, who will have information and help. They will also be the most likely people to know about any benefits you might be eligible for.
This website is a UK support group but it has a lot of very good, clear information.

My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of 20 and she works for this organisation providing support for people in her age group.

I am so sorry for your daughter. So young and yet so very brave to be able to help others. God Bless her and you too for having inculcated very good values in her. I shall definitely look up this website. Thanks.

She lives a quite normal and very full life, as do most diabetics, thanks to the equipment and medication available today. She is married, a freelance translator and also spends a lot of time supporting people who, like her, have been diagnosed with Type 1 at an early age. When she first learned of it, she took it in her stride. She was actually due to go to live in France for a year a couple of weeks after she was diagnosed, so it was very hectic getting all the medications and instructions she would need. I am (as you can imagine) very proud of my daughter. She is a very capable and brave lass and is well fitted to pass on that bravery to others.

The secret is Diet and exercise. There is no cure for diabetes and if anyone tells you there is they are wrong. I have heard that there is some type of surgery that will cure diabetes but my doctor says that is in the future, way in the future.
In the meantime we just have to learn how to control this disease with proper diet and exercise. I have a blog about type 2 diabetes and 2 with low-carb diabetic recipes. If you want to know more about this disease please visit here.

2 teaspoons of Apple Cider vinegar in a glass of water in the morning and at night helps keep your blood sugar down. I use Apple Cider vinegar on my salads.
Eating foods with cinnamon helps control your blood sugar.
I take 2 capsules a day.
Hope this helps
Have a healthy day

Good info. ACV is good for staving off sinus infections, too, among lots of other things.
If you notice in my response above, I put the word cured in little quote type marks.

I don't think you'll find anything besides the medicines your doctor will give you. You will have to take the medicines the doctor prescribed to you. If you don't threat, the disease could become much worst. But you must do your best to adjust your living style to your disease. That's the natural way to combat the disease. You should try to keep your weight low, not to use fat and holesterol rich food, live healthy, exercise. And take your medications.

Diabetes can be 'cured' with proper diet. This consists of a diet made up of primarily plant foods. "Treats" would be able to be added back in on a MINIMAL basis after the disease is back under control.
Check out www.drfuhrman.com and read his book "Eat to Live". You should find it most helpful.

Type II diabetese can be controled with diet. but you should also keep taking the tablets that yor Dr has given you until you know that the diet is working. Here is a web sit that can help you http://www.adventisthealthcare.com/AHC/health/library/Health_Illustrated_Encyclopedia/1/1_002440.aspx.
You should also get with a diatician to get on a good diet. Some people have been able to go off the medication following a vegetarian diet. but you also have to be carefull of what you eat,get exercise.

I've heard from some people that had diabetes that macaroni, rice and cheese are not good for diabetics. There may be other dietary rules you may wish to check out. Have also read that cinnamon sticks are very good for diabetes as a natural treatment.
