I remembered when I was a child, the milk I grew up drinking was Birch Tree. Do you know that? I guess most of fellow filipinos know it since it was famous years ago... but I'm just not sure if it's only here in the PHilippines :) I even remember that as the years went by, I didn't only like drinking Birch Tree, I would also eat it. Yes, eat it! I would mix it with sugar and just eat it then and there. hehe.. weird huh? It's good to recall the things you did when you were still youn children. Would you share some of your experiences too? What milk did you drink when you were a child?

Milk from birch tree? As in a real tree? Or is it any brand name? Pls describe in details. Is it any powdered milk? I am so curious. I grew up drinking cow’s milk and it was quite bland. And them mummy used to have powdered milk in her kitchen and I used to mix it up with sugar and eat it just like you. I still do it sometimes with my son. Powdered milk with sugar tastes just wonderful.

Oops. I guess I forgot to mention that Birch Tree is only a brand name :) hehe. Sorry for that. It's powdered milk but I don't know what happened to it now, I don't see it anymore in groceries around.

When i was a child, there was not a big variety of different products. Most of them were monopolized and i really dont know what was the trade mark of the milk then. Now it`s much different. So much trade marks and actually you cant differ them, the taste is one and the same:)

During my childhood there were lots of brands of milk powder. I still remember the most I took were Lactogen and Nan. I liked to take soft bread that dipped into the glass of cool milk which was just taken out from the fridge. It will taste better without ice cubes added as the milk will be diluted. It was really yummy.

Yes, I do recall drinking Birch Tree when I was younger. My cousins and I would even race against each other drinking our milk bottoms up. And yes, I'm also from the Philippines. Aside from this brand, we also drank Nido and over the years, it has become our favorite brand of milk. But as with the Birch Tree brand, I also haven't noticed it in supermarkets and grocery stores nowadays. Maybe, they have stopped production for some reason; who knows. But I also do miss this brand. Along with these two brands, I've also tried drinking Anlene Active on some ocassions because I've noticed that my bones aren't as strong as they used to be when I was younger.

When I was a child, the foods were not sufficient. But my parents still tried hard to give me milk. I remember at that time the milk brand is called "Da Qing".

I do not remember the brand name of the milk, but remember the carton. Gallons of milk were in cardboard cartons when I was a kid. The carton was blue and white checked and there was a plastic handle to hold onto while you poured the milk.

Well I was one of the lucky ones that got to drink milk right straight from the cow, before it got processed! It tasted a whole lot better than the milk nowadays that has been processed! My kids and grandkids have never drank milk like this before!

Hello dear glitzypurple. When I was a kid, milk used to be something luxury and it was expensive to get. I am sorry to say that I didn't drink much milk as a kid, but now I often drink milk as I can afford it however it might be. lol.
