Why do people respond to a discussion / myLot

with something that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic and then get annoyed with you because you do not appreciate them trying to promote themselves and their sites in your discussion?

actually lot of mylot member here just keep on post a discussion and most of her/ his friend also reply but the thing is they even annoyed friend topic, for me even it not interested if i have enought time to reply some discussion of friend i will. but because my time is so short,hope some of mylotter feel what i do to there friend also. just give & recieve nothing will lost to us correct me if im wrong.

One potato, two potato, three potato, four... If you join my site you will earn a lot more... LOL Just kidding. Haven't been around lately and wanted to say hi! Hope your holidays were great. It does bother me when people add stupidness to my discussions and then want to argue or whine that they aren't getting people responding back or their stars are low. I try hard not to be mean even if I don't agree with the people. Hope you have a great 2008!!!!

Yes , I agree and I have also noticed this many times single line responses which users make just for the sake of giving a response. This is a common pratice of many myLotters here which they utilize to gain more and more referrals for their other sites.But they don't realize that by doing this they are loosing a bit of their time and reputation as well. I wonder when myLot will step into this and prevent such users for ruining a good discussion because that might also result in deletion of that discussion that receive such a response.

I hate that too. I hate the ones that bother to respond back with one sentence. Why bother to start a post at all if you are not going to respond or respond back with a one liner like thanks for the response. The point of the site is to promote discussion and if you are not adding to the discussion or trying to continue it then dont bother at all. There was a guy yesterday that posted on every response (it wasnt his post) a link to his gpt site and it TICKED ME OFF! On mine he said bet you dont have this site and i was like actually I do and if I didnt then i wouldnt sign up under you because your rude. LOL
